What an amazing month we have had at DW Poppy Secondary.  The month was filled with Athletic events, Music concerts and our Remembrance Day ceremony.  We are grateful to the following teachers for their assistance with a very powerful memorial:

  • Mr. Howard and the Drama and Tech Students
  • Mr. Fraser for working on the slide shows and videos
  • Mr. Yu for his continued support, behind the scenes tech work and for weaving in all of the presentations
  • Ms. Jack and the Aboriginal students for Drumming
  • Mr. Ablitt and our Choral Students
  • Mr. Follet and our Band students
  • Ms. Rivera for working to coordinate the Dancers
  • Mr. Harrison for organizing the DW Poppy Remembers Slide show

Thank you to all of our performers and the entire student body for your respectful participation in the ceremonies.

Our DW Poppy Music Program continues to shine under the direction of Mr. Follet and Mr. Ablitt.  We are excited about the upcoming winter concert fund raiser- Espressivo on December 6.  This is an exciting event with Food Trucks, a silent auction, dessert and great music.  Please come and join us.

There are just three weeks until the Christmas Break and we look forward to all of the Christmas Spirit that fills the halls of DW Poppy.
