Due to a lack of care exercised in the weight room & a pending property theft investigation, the weight room will be closed to students until the New Year.

There is an opportunity for Gr. 12s to experience 5 days at Depot, the RCMP’s training academy in Regina. A select group of students from across Canada will experience what it’s like to be a cadet in training. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31st. SASSY AWARDS – Applications available in the Counselling Centre

The four Rotary Clubs of Langley are proud to announce the 4th annual SASSY Awards Langley, which annually awards $14,000 in scholarships to 21 worthy youth in Langley.

Nominations are now being accepted in 7 categories for youth aged 15 to 21 living in, &/or who have made a significant impact in leadership roles within the Township or City of Langley.

The 7 different categories of demonstrated leadership are:

Community Service (local); Environmental Leadership; International Service (global); Leadership Beyond Adversity; Youth Leadership; Sports Leadership; & Arts & Culture Leadership.

Interested students can pick up application forms from the Counselling Centre. Mailed nominations must be postmarked no later than March 8, 2019 & emailed nominations must be received no later than 11:59 P.M. on March 15, 2019. More info is available at www.sassyawardslangley.ca

GRADE 10 – 12

An opportunity to learn more about a career in Health Care! Gr. 10-12 students will be touring UFV’s Health Care programs (including Dental Assisting) as well as visiting KPU’s Nursing & other Health Care programs on Jan. 17. You have the chance to ask questions & learn some hands on skills that would be helpful in this industry.
