LANGLEY SCHOOLS CHALLENGE
Provide a land or ocean based solution to the global problem of single use plastic. 1st Prize $20,000. 2nd Prize $10,000. Your team needs to be formed & communicated to Mr. Gollub by Dec. 21st. All Grades are welcome to compete. Please see Mr. Gollub for more details.
RCMP TRAINING ACADEMY
There is an opportunity for Gr. 12s to experience 5 days at Depot, the RCMP’s training academy in Regina. A select group of students from across Canada will experience what it’s like to be a cadet in training. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31st. An opportunity to learn more about a career in Health Care! Gr. 10-12 students will be touring UFV’s Health Care programs (including Dental Assisting) as well as visiting KPU’s Nursing & other Health Care programs on Jan. 17. You have the chance to ask questions & learn some hands on skills that would be helpful in this industry. If you are interested, please see Ms. Czuprynski in counselling office for more info & for application forms. Forms due Jan. 10 at the very latest.
